“Not only does our research promise new insights and technologies that enable a more efficient use of police resources, but it also goes further. It provides an answer to the growing demand for safety and the reduction of crime in our society. Our impact extends to providing targeted, real-time predictions within the existing policing landscape, through advanced methods such as predictive analytics and the use of large amounts of data. It is important that we continue to safeguard European privacy and human rights, including the GDPR and the Law Enforcement Act. This way, we contribute to a safer and fairer society for everyone.”
