DOCTORAL RESEARCHER
REIN STRUYVE
Rein Struyve is a doctoral researcher. He holds a Master’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s degree in Political Sciences, with a specialisation in EU Studies.
He combines his part-time role in the BIGDATPOL project with his ongoing PhD research on sports-related crime, focusing on the nexus between football hooliganism and organised crime.
Within the BIGDATPOL team, he works on analysing crime phenomena related to sport and on the application of innovative and big data-driven techniques for their prevention. Building on this expertise, he will progressively take on a broader range of responsibilities within the project.
